What to do when you have an unwanted guest...

I was just at a client's house last night and she, her husband and one of their three children have been plagued by a visiting spirit. She's been jabbed in the arm, he's had his toe pulled, and her older son has been awakened night after night by a tapping on the window. They're fortunate to have a place at the beach and were able to go there this past weekend to get away, and get some sleep.

They were, of course, hoping that when they returned home they would find the activity had just been in their imaginations and life would be normal. Not so much. Most of the same activities started up again and the wife finally broke down and told her neighbor, who is my friend and, whom I've helped in the past.

I visited last night and we found that it's the same young girl who has at times bothered my friend next door. The girl knows she's passed but doesn't want to move on because she's afraid and unsure about why she's still here, and why she didn't cross over automatically. She's suspicious about why people keep trying to get rid of her and doesn't fully understand her current state. When my friend, the neighbor and I all talked openly about crossing over, and the peace that comes from fully leaving this dimension, the young girl began to relax a bit and open to the idea that we weren't just trying to get rid of her, but really wanted to help.

I invited the girl to ride home with me, and she did. I talked with her about crossing and the simplicity of the process. She's considering it.

She woke me up this morning around 4 a.m. with a jab to the arm but being familiar with her style I wasn't overly bothered, except for the time of day she chose. They do this, I believe, because that's the when we're least distracted and more likely to interact and communicate, even if it's not entirely pleasant for us.

With this girl, in particular, it's going to be a process. She's independent but secretly also scared, and who can blame her? I believe she died of a fever and though she knows she's dead, she's very reasonably confused about what she's really supposed to do about it. At least she is now hanging out with me and not bothering them, so mission accomplished. I spoke to my friend this morning and after suffering for several weeks with this problem her neighbors had a quite and restful night.

If the problems had continued, in truth these folks might have considered leaving. You can only go without sleep so long! There's a home across the street which has more activity than any in the area and those folks have moved. We'll be headed there soon to see what we can do because that home has been on the market for some time, is a very nice place, and should have sold by now. I think that job's going to be a little more challenging but I'm certain we'll be successful.

Real estate is an involved line of work. There are lots of parts and pieces. The hours are hard, and people are at their most vulnerable. Adding something like a haunting can push someone over the edge and if they're trying to sell a place, of even buy, that's haunted it can make a hard process even harder.

I'm grateful for my ability to help folks eliminate a lot of problems in this process. We help folks clear a house, infuse new and clear energy, and protecting against other visitors and future problems. Of course, some folks love the idea of a spirit filled house and I don't mind helping them find just what they want. In fact, part of the reason I was so drawn to me farm is that it has many spirits whom we've gotten to know well over the years. I find that in most cases they're harmless, even if a nuisance, and just need a little help and direction in order to move on.
